Grilled with ingredients like shallots, Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce, these burgers will hold flavor and juices in no matter how well done!
With ground beef in a mixing bowl, add garlic, shallots, mustard, ketchup, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix ingredients, but don’t over-mix. Over-mixing will just make mushy burgers.
Take about a palmful of meat in your hand. Pat flat in your hand then use your free hand to form it into a round patty. Let rest at room temperature and prepare garnishes while grill preheats.
When grill is nice and hot, put patties over direct heat and cover grill. Cook for 3 minutes. Flip burgers and cook for another 5 (for medium), 6 (for medium well), or 7 (for well done) minutes. In the last 2–3 minutes on the grill, put cheese on top of patties. Place buns on top rack, face down, if you want to toast them. Keep grill covered as much as possible.
Once burgers are done, let rest for about 5 minutes. Place on your bun, serve with garnishes and enjoy!
