This is my family’s favorite dinner. We sometimes have it once a week. It’s easy, it’s quick, and it tastes sooo good!
(You can substitute chicken breast, cut up or thinly sliced beef for the ground beef. You can also substitute a 4 oz. can of sliced mushrooms for fresh mushrooms.)
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook meat, onion and mushrooms in butter until onions are tender. Reduce heat, stir in flour, salt, garlic powder and black pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, until flour is completely incorporated in butter, about 5 minutes.
Add soups, stir in completely and simmer on low heat for at least 10 minutes (longer is better). Just before serving, stir in sour cream and heat through. Do not let it boil or it will separate.
Serve over hot noodles or rice.
