My mom has always made this. This is a great and easy dinner when it’s chilly outside.
Put on water for noodles & bring to a boil. Make noodles according to package directions.
Brown ground beef & drain. Mix in soup & sour cream. Salt & pepper to taste.
Simmer for about 5 minutes until the soup & sour cream are up to temperature. Serve over noodles.
OR
Also VERY yummy and more hearty over mashed potatoes.
You can also add fresh mushrooms when you’re browning the hamburger. The canned ones taste rubbery in this dish though. To me, anyways….
You can really do about anything with this. Take the base and make it your own

At last, a recipe using the humble CAN of cream of mushroom soup. Why this gem is maligned, I don’t know. Sometimes it just works. This recipe is terrific – I’ve had a similar one and it’s delicious comfort food.
