Want to make the perfect London Broil? Then you need to do two things: marinate it in a delicious marinade (such as my Easy Red Wine Marinade for Beef) and grill it! This simple and easy recipe is not something you can make at the last minute because London Broil, aka flank steak, is a tougher cut of meat. So the key to this flavorful, delicious, juicy and tender main course is marinating it for 4 to 6 hours.
Marinate beef for 4–6 hours in in the refrigerator (if using my Easy Red Wine Marinade, see instructions on the recipe).
Remove from refrigerator and let sit for 30 minutes at room temperature. Preheat gas or charcoal grill at high heat.
Remove beef from marinade and place on preheated grill. Grill for 5–6 minutes each side for medium rare. Remove from grill, cover with foil and let stand for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Follow same instructions if using indoor grill pan, but reduce heat to medium-high.
