Cuban Picadillo is an easy and delicious dish! It consists of beef cooked in wine, tomato sauce, spices, olives, and more. Then served over rice. Check out the related link for the original blog post.
Heat a saute pan sprayed with cooking spray over high heat. Cook the beef, onion, bell pepper, and garlic until beef is fully cooked and broken into bite-size pieces (around 5-6 minutes).
Add the white wine and deglaze the pan. Then add the tomato sauce, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, turmeric, salt and pepper to taste and mix well. Simmer covered for 30 minutes.
Then add the chopped olives, stir well, and serve over a bed of rice.

I like the addition of turmeric and making this with brown rice. Can’t wait to try it!
