Sometimes you want something more substantial than a salad; that’s where the caesar burger comes in.
You can form your own hamburger with ground beef or just use a pre-formed patty. All I had were the pre-made ones, so that worked just fine.
Start by grilling your hamburger patty until it is done to your liking. While the hamburger is cooking, slice your tomato and cook the bacon (I like to get the pre-cooked bacon and throw it on the grill with my burger for convenience).
Toast the bun and put Caesar dressing on both sides. On the bottom bun, lay down your lettuce leaves, tomato and bacon (you can leave the bacon in strips or crumble it up like I did).
Place a piece of foil on a baking sheet and arrange shredded parmesan cheese in a circle about the same size as your burger. Put the cheese under a broiler for a few minutes, but keep your eye on it. Once it looks nice and crispy, take the piece of foil and place it in the freezer for a minute or so to make it easier to remove.
Place the burger on top of the lettuce, tomato and bacon and top with the parmesan crisp and other half of the bun.
