A veggie-packed substitute for a heavy, beef burger. This will scratch your burger itch.
Begin by smashing black beans into a rough paste. Add remaining ingredients (except avocado and mozzarella) and mix until thoroughly combined. You may want to add a bit more bread crumbs depending on how wet the mixture turns out. Form into patties.
Heat oil or cooking spray in a pan over medium heat. Cook patties until warmed through, about 3 minutes per side depending on thickness.
Top patties with cheese and broil until melted. Add sliced avocado. Enjoy!
