Forget ordering take out. It’s so easy to make it yourself.
1. Mince the garlic (or use a microplane). Cut the onion and peppers into bite-sized pieces and the broccoli off the stem.
2. In a bowl, combine the cornstarch, garlic, honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and water (or you can use beef or chicken stock).
3. In a large skillet or wok, heat up 3 teaspoons (1 tablespoon) oil and add beef once it is hot. Cook for about 5 minutes per batch. (Note: Depending on the size of your pan, you may need to make the beef in batches. You will want to have your stove vent or a kitchen window open because it will get hot and smoky.)
4. Remove the beef from the pan. Add the remaining teaspoon of oil. Add in the onions and peppers and cook on medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.
5. Add the broccoli into the pan with the peppers and onion. Cook for about 3 minutes. The broccoli will turn bright green.
6. Add the beef and sauce into the pan. Cook for another 3-5 minutes or until the sauce is thick and the beef is heated back up.
Serve over rice or noodles.
