If life is like a bowl of cherries, I say let’s make them as darn pretty as possible! Otherwise it’s just the pits. OK, enough with my joke, sometimes I forget that I am a cook and not a comedian. In all seriousness, I can’t tell you how many times a holiday rolls around the corner and instinctively I buy a big fat gorgeous bag of cherries only to have them spoil on me. So last time, I made these!
1. Into a medium sized, microwave safe glass bowl pour the chocolate chips.
2. Place bowl in the microwave for about two minutes stirring every every 30 seconds. Add oil accordingly if it appears too thick or clumpy.
3. Dip each cherry one at a time from the stem, dipping quickly to coat while the mixture is still very warm. Let excess chocolate drip off and rest the cherries on a wax paper or parchment paper lined baking tray to set and cool.
4. Lightly sprinkle the edible glitter onto the bottom of the cherries.
5. Let them set up and cool in the refrigerator.
