Description

These are crispy, chewy, sweet, gooey, let me sleep in-a-bed-of-these cookies.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Salted Butter, Softened
  • 1-½ cup White Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 2-¼ cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 16 bars Mini Twix Bars, Unwrapped (or Other Candy)

Preparation

1) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F, and prepare two sheet pans with parchment or silpats.

2) In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until creamy.

3) Add the vanilla and the eggs and beat until creamy. Set aside.

4) Meanwhile mix the flour, baking soda and salt together in a separate bowl.

5) Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and stir until you have a thick cookie dough.

6) Cut the Twix bars into small pieces.

7) Add the Twix pieces and mix into the batter.

8) Scoop the cookies onto the sheet pans and bake at 350F for about 10 minutes.

9) When you take the cookies out they should still be a bit doughy and puffy looking in the middle – they will “fall” and stiffen up.

10) Place them on a rack to cool.
