Description

Sugar cookie cake bars are quick and easy. These bars are not life-changing but they are pretty good especially when you are in a time crunch and need to feed a LOT of people!

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks Butter
  • 2-¼ cups White Sugar
  • 4 whole Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 4-¼ cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 375ºF.
2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
3. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each egg. Add vanilla and mix well.
4. In a separate bowl combine flour, salt and soda and stir with a whisk to combine. Add to the wet mixture and mix just until combined.
5. Spread on a greased baking sheet (or use parchment paper).
6. Bake for 15 minutes, until light golden brown or until a toothpick comes out clean.
7. Cool completely and frost as desired.

I used a sheet pan, it was 11 x 17!
