Description

Here is one of my favorite recipes! I like this recipe because all the ingredients are staples in my house. And by that it means it doesn’t have tahini in it. I actually love tahini, but it’s not something we keep in our house on a regular basis. So this makes it an easy recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 can Chickpeas/garbanzo Beans (15 Oz Can), Drained And Rinsed
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Peeled And Pressed
  • 3 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • ¼ cups Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 dash Sea Salt (or To Taste)
  • ½ teaspoons Cajun Seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoons Paprika
  • ¼ teaspoons Chili Powder
  • 3 Tablespoons Sun Dried Tomatoes (optional, But Delicious!)
  • 1 dash Parsley, For Garnish
  • 1 dash Paprika, For Garnish

Preparation

1. Pour all ingredients (except the garnishes) into blender and process until very smooth.
2. Add any additional seasonings to taste.
3. Put the hummus into a dish and garnish with parsley and paprika.
4. Serve with your favorite crackers, pita bread, celery or carrots!
