This is the easiest cheesecake recipe I’ve seen, and it’s delicious! If you don’t know what a sopapilla is, it is a classic Mexican dessert—basically a fried dough baked in with cinnamon and sugar.
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
2. Beat cream cheese with 1 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla until smooth.
3. Unroll 1 crescent roll dough, and put into a very well greased 9×13 pan.
4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly.
5. Take the remaining can of crescent rolls and spread over the cream cheese mix.
6. Stir remaining 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon together until evenly mixed.
7. Melt butter and pour evenly all over the top of the cheesecake.
8. Pour the sugar/cinnamon mix together over the butter.
9. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
10. Cool completely in the pan before eating!
