Description

This recipe stems from my dream of a world where everything is Reese’s peanut butter and chocolate. Perfect in every way!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Unsalted Butter, Room Temperature
  • ½ cups Shortening
  • ¼ cups Creamy Peanut Butter
  • ¾ cups Brown Sugar
  • ¾ cups Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 whole Large Egg
  • 2-½ cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Chopped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (or Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs!)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, shortening, peanut butter, brown sugar and sugar. Mix in vanilla and eggs until combined. Add flour, baking soda and salt and mix on low speed until just incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips and Reese’s.

Drop by tablespoonful onto a large cookie sheet (preferably lined with a silicone baking mat.) Bake 9-11 minutes or until edges and tops of cookies are just golden. Let rest on the cookie sheet for 2 or 3 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Just finished making these for my husband. They are really delicious! Next time I think I’ll add more Reese’s cups though. You can never have enough Reese’s cups!

Very good cookie but since I am a big chocolate and peanut butter fan, I think next time I’m going to add more Reese’s peanut butter cups than called for.

Super delish! We used the tiny reese’s cups instead of chopped bigger ones. They were so soft and yummy, even the next day after they had been left out on the counter uncovered. I liked the combo or shortening and butter because they didn’t come out all flat.

My 13 y/o loves Reese’s so she was excited to see this recipe! We didn’t have quite enough mini-Reese’s, so we added some peanut butter chips to make up the difference = delicious! Next time, we’re going to try those teeny-tiny Reese’s.
