Description

Brown sugar and spice cookies topped with pumpkin spice Hershey Kisses.

Ingredients

  • 2-¼ cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 2 sticks Unsalted Butter
  • 1-½ cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 2 whole Large Eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 5 ounces, weight Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses, Unwrapped

Preparation

Preheat oven to 300°F.

Combine the flour, pumpkin pie spice and baking soda in a mixing bowl; set aside.

In a stand mixer, cream butter and sugar together. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat for about 30 seconds, then add the flour mixture 1/2 cup at a time until thoroughly incorporated.

Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, until set. Immediately top each cookie with a Kiss.

Transfer to a rack to cool.

Is there by any chance a typo in this recipe? I followed it to the letter and the dough was much too thin, the cookies ran together and stuck to the pan. Seems it needs at least a cup more flour.

Pumpkin kisses are available at Hershey’s Chocolate World. Probably available locally in season as well.
