Otherwise known as “Monster Cookies,” these delicious giant, chewy cookies are a hit with everyone! They also happen to be gluten-free, which comes in handy if you have friends who cannot have gluten.
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Lightly grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper. Cream butter, sugars, peanut butter and eggs in large bowl until light. Blend in baking soda, vanilla and oats until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chips and candy pieces. Scoop out 1/3 cupful of dough for each cookie. Place on prepared cookie sheets, spacing about 4 inches apart. Press each cookie to flatten slightly. Bake 12-15 minutes until edges are golden and the center lookes underbaked. This will result in a soft, chewy cookie. Let cool on the pans for 5 minutes, then remove to a wire rack.
Notes: I use creamy peanut butter, but you could also use crunchy. I like the flavor of the M&Ms, so I sometimes add another cup.
