Description

Nutter Butter cookies and Nutella all wrapped up in a pie! Yes, it’s delicious.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CRUST:
  • 24 whole Nutter Butter Cookies
  • ¼ cups Butter, Melted
  • _____
  • FOR THE FILLING:
  • 16 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened (2 Packages)
  • ¾ cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cups Nutella
  • ½ cups Whipping Cream
  • _____
  • FOR THE NUTELLA GANACHE (optional):
  • ¼ cups Nutella
  • ¼ cups Whipping Cream

Preparation

Spray a 9-inch pie plate with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.

Place Nutter Butter cookies into a food processor and grind until they are fine crumbs. Stir together with melted butter.

Press into prepared pie plate. Place into refrigerator to chill.

For the filling, whip cream cheese and sugar together until well blended. Stir in vanilla extract and Nutella. Scrape sides of bowl and mix again briefly. Stir in cream and then increase speed and whip 3 minutes or until very thick.

Pour into pie crust and smooth the top. Refrigerate until set, at least 2 hours.

To serve, prepare Nutella ganache by microwaving Nutella and cream together until a thin sauce forms. Drizzle over pieces of pie.

Well, after reading the rave reviews and comments, I’m wondering if the fault was mine because we did not like this pie AT ALL. I was so disappointed too! I love pb and Nutella and have been wanting to try this recipe for awhile. I followed the instructions almost too the letter. The only thing I did differently was add 2 extra cookies to the crust and I made the ganache yesterday and put back in the fridge to serve today. The crust was good, but we didn’t like the filling.

I’ve been wanting to make this for a long time. It was super easy. I liked the pie a lot, just felt like it tasted to cream-cheesey. I was hoping for a more tastes of peanut butter and chocolate. Next time I make it, because I will make it again, I think I will decrease the cream cheese, add more nutella and maybe a little peanut butter. Thanks for the recipe!

LOVED this! Made it by request for my hubby’s bday and it was an absolute hit. Only change I made was made my own PB crust b/c I didn’t have nutter butters. It was so easy just 1/2 c creamy PB, 3/4 c crushed graham crackers, 2 tbs honey. Mix well with a fork (if too sticky just add more crushed graham crackers a little at a time) press into a 9 inch pie pan with a spoon dipped in ice water. Bake on 325 for 10 min. Let cool completely before adding filling. This was SO yummy. I also made a little extra whip cream for the top.
