Description

Hershey’s Kisses enrobed in a soft dough topped with frosting!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE COOKIES:
  • 1 bag (12 Oz. Bag) Hershey Kisses
  • 1 cup Butter, Softened
  • ½ cups Confectioners Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 2-½ cups Flour
  • FOR THE FROSTING:
  • 2 cups Confectioners Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk

Preparation

1. Unwrap the Kisses, and set aside.
2. Cream butter and sugar.
3. Add vanilla.
4. Slowly add the flour.
5. Mix the dough and then form it into a large ball and wrap in wax paper. Refrigerate 1/2 hour.
6. Use 1 teaspoon of dough with 1 Kiss and wrap the dough around the Kiss until it’s covered by dough.
7. Place balls on a cookie sheet and freeze for 20 minutes.
8. Bake at 350ºF for 15-20 minutes.
9. Dip in frosting when cool.

Frosting:
Place confectioner’s sugar, vanilla and half of the milk in a bowl and mix together. Gradually add remaining milk, 1 teaspoon at a time just until mix reaches consistency desired.

I made these with a slight twist of my own. The cookie dough turned out perfect and is crumbly and soft when you bite into them- I didnt change a thing from your recipe. I dont like Hershey Kisses though so I used something else. I had a little box of chocolate mint thins from walgreens. I melted them down and rolled them into little balls and used those instead. I used your icing recipe except I excluded the vanilla and used just a drop or two of mint extract and some green food coloring. Your picture inspired the mint theme! They are so yummy and addictive! Thanks for the recipe, I love how easy it will be to make variations with it.
