Description

This is my mother-in-law’s recipe for holiday fudge, and it’s exceptionally simple and delicious. No candy thermometer required! You can easily double the recipe in a 9×13 pan.

Ingredients

  • ⅔ cups Evaporated Milk
  • 1-½ cup Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1-½ cup Chocolate Chips, Preferably Semi-sweet
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1-½ cup Miniature Marshmallows
  • ½ cups Chopped Walnuts (optional)

Preparation

1. In a medium saucepan, bring evaporated milk, sugar, and salt to a full boil. Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

2. Remove from heat and add vanilla, chocolate chips, marshmallows, and nuts, if desired. Stir until combined and marshmallows are melted.

3. Put in an 8×8 pan and set aside to cool until thoroughly set. Cut into squares.

Very easy to make. though make sure you use evaporated milk and not sweatened condenced milk if you want to avoid a bit caked on mess. This makes a nice smooth very sweet fudge.
