Description

These are sooo good! I took some to my neigbors and they asked for more!

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1-½ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 2 cups Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips, Divided
  • 6 Tablespoons Butter, Softened
  • 1 cup White Sugar
  • 1-½ teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 whole Eggs

Preparation

1. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing well with a whisk. Set aside.

2. Melt 1 cup chocolate chips in the microwave in a glass bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then turn the glass bowl, heat for 30 more secons, turn it again, and again until the chocolate is melted. Mix the butter and sugar in the mixer. Add the melted chocolate and vanilla. Beat in the eggs. Add the flour mixture and remaining chocolate chips.

3. Wrap in plastic wrap and freeze for 20 minutes (or until firm). Set oven to 350 degrees.

4. Use an ice cream scooper to scoop small balls of cookie dough onto an ungresed baking sheet. Depending on the size of the balls, put 12 to 16 cookies on each sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. The cookies may feel light and airy, like they aren’t done, but take them out immediately. They harden when they cool.

5. I like to eat mine hot, but you can do whatever you like to enjoy them.

P.S. These are great cookies for the holidays to take to your neighbors.
