Description

Chewy and soft cranberry white chocolate cookies with orange zest and freshly squeezed orange juice in the dough. Perfect for your holiday baking.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter, Softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Orange Zest
  • 2 Tablespoons Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
  • ½ teaspoons Vanilla
  • 2-½ cups Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 cup Dried Cranberries
  • 1 cup White Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 F. Grease two large cookie sheets or line them with parchment paper.

Cream together the butter and sugars in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Incorporate the egg, orange zest, orange juice and vanilla. Then beat in the flour, baking soda and salt, followed by the cranberries and white chocolate chips.

Use a medium cookie scoop to scoop the dough onto the prepared cookie sheets, allowing some room between each as they do spread out. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden on the edges and still soft in the middle. Allow to cool on the pan 5 minutes before removing to a cooling rack.

Outstanding! I’ve made these four times over this Christmas holiday. Everyone loves them. Thanks for a terrific recipe!

I made these for my coworkers and they were a hit! The recipes was foolproof and spot on. It was incredibly easy to make and tasted great. I might want to add more orange zest or just next time because I love citrus flavor, but the tartness of the cranberries with the sweetness of juice and white chocolate was to die for. I also loved that the dough wasn’t super sticky. Great recipes. Can’t wait to make them again soon!

I made these for a Christmas cookie exchange at work and they were perfect! The three flavors of cranberry, orange, and white chocolate complemented each other without one overpowering the others. They have a great, lightly chewy texture and do spread into nicely sized cookies. My batch made 4 dozen. This recipe is a keeper, and will be easy to incorporate into my holiday baking again and again, with all the oranges and cranberries that pop up during this time of year!
