You might think this is a typical cookie recipe, but check out the secret ingredient that sets these cookies apart! Super soft and chewy and just the right amount of sweet—this is a delightful twist on an old favorite.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
In a mixing bowl using an electric mixer cream together the butter, caramel topping, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Add egg and beat well.
In a separate bowl mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture into the butter mixture until fully incorporated. Stir in chips and nuts. Scoop dough using a cookie scoop and drop onto parchment lined baking sheets, leaving a couple inches in between each.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until just slightly golden brown around edges. Remove pans from oven. Cool slightly on the pan then remove from the pan to a cookie rack.
