Description

Rich and delicious blondies filled with toffee, walnuts and butterscotch then topped off with apple chunks drizzled in caramel. Whoa!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter, Melted
  • 2 cups Light Brown Sugar, Packed
  • 2 whole Eggs, Beaten
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ cups Walnuts
  • ½ cups Toffee Pieces
  • ½ cups Butterscotch Baking Chips
  • 2-½ cups Apples, Cut Into Chunks
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
  • 1 dash Cinnamon
  • Caramel Sauce, For Drizzling

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 F. Line a buttered 9.5 X 9.5 pan with parchment paper and spray paper with baking spray. Set aside.

In a large bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla extract until well mixed. Stir in the flour, baking powder and salt. Use a rubber spatula and fold in the walnuts, toffee pieces and butterscotch chips. Pour into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

In a separate bowl, toss the cubed apples with 2 tablespoons of melted butter and a dash of cinnamon. Spread the apples evenly over the blondie mix.

Put the dish into the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until set in the middle. Remove dish from oven and set it on a rack. Let the blondies cool for 15 minutes and drizzle with caramel sauce.
