Description

One of the most sinful things you’ll ever taste. Drizzle it, chilled, over your pecan pie (or any other pie) on Thanksgiving Day. Or do what I do: eat it with a spoon. Unbelievably delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup Heavy Cream
  • 5 Tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup
  • 3 Tablespoons Light Corn Syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon Whiskey (can Add More If Desired)

Preparation

Combine cream, maple syrup, and corn syrup in a saucepan and stir to combine. Cook over medium-low to medium heat, stirring constantly, for 15 minutes or until sauce is reduced and thick (sauce should bubble slightly as it’s cooking.)

When sauce is thick, remove from heat and stir in whiskey. Return to heat for a couple of minutes, stirring constantly.

Pour into a container and refrigerate until completely chilled. Stir before serving.

Drizzle over pies!

Amazing! I made this for Thanksgiving and Christmas last year, and I’ve already been asked to make it again this year. This sauce is so good that you will want to can eat it all by itself as soon as you make it. You definitely won’t want to share it.

Made it for the Thanksgiving and then because of popular demand, re-made for Christmas. My mother-in-law decided to use the left overs in her coffee and said it was supreme used that way. This is a new tradition for holidays in our house!

I guiltily stick a spoon into this and eat it, sneakily…I made it for Thanksgiving and Christmas, to put on the Pecan Pies (Ree’s Recipes), and the pies were so dat gum good that they didn’t need the sauce. The sauce tho, dat gum it’s good!!! :)

I made this for Thanksgiving to go along with your pecan pie recipe and it was a huge hit. It was so easy to make, I hated sitting there stirring constantly (I am a very impatient and fidgety person haha) but it was very much worth it. The boys were drooling when they heard the words “whiskey sauce”. I think what made it over the top was the old bottle of whiskey my dad and I broke open for it.

Oh my goodness, this is addicting! I make this with good ole Jack Daniels and served it over pumpkin cheesecake cupcakes at the lodge I work at- it’s going on the lunch dessert menu. Thanks so much for this delicious and versatile recipe!
