Description

Simple crepes stuffed with Nutella and banana slices. It’s like eating dessert for breakfast. My kind of meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 whole Large Eggs
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 stick Unsalted Butter (use Only Enough To Grease The Pan)
  • 1 cup Plus 2 Tablespoons Of Nutella Spread
  • 2 whole Large Ripe Bananas, Thinly Sliced

Preparation

In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Whisk in the salt, sugar, and flour until well combined; set batter aside to rest for 15 minutes. Whisk once more before cooking.

In a nonstick 10 inch pan, melt a small amount of butter over medium heat. When the butter foams, ladle in 1/4 cup of batter in the center of the pan. Immediately lift the pan from the burner and swirl it so the batter coats the bottom of the pan. Replace the pan on the burner and cook the crepe until the batter is just set and the underside is lightly borrowed, about 2 minutes. Using a spatula or your fingers, flip the crepe in the pan, top with two tablespoons Nutella and a 1/4 of a thinly sliced banana. Cook until spread melts, about 1 minute. Fold into quarters. Serve immediately. Eat while you repeat the process with the remaining batter and filling ingredients!

I have never made crepes before- until yesterday morning, when I whipped up these babies and ate my way to happiness. The directions were clear enough for a first-timer to succeed. I think I probably used way more Nutella than called for, and I used about 5 bananas instead of 2. So I guess the key is to go overboard on the filling!
