Description

Subtly spiced pancakes that are so perfect with a drizzle of maple syrup.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup White Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1-¼ Tablespoon Molasses
  • ¾ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Ginger
  • ¼ teaspoons Ground Cloves
  • ¼ teaspoons Ground Nutmeg

Preparation

Combine ingredients in a medium sized bowl until just incorporated (will be slightly lumpy). Cook on a preheated griddle until bubbles start to form and edges appear dry. Flip and cook until lightly browned.

These have such a delicate gingerbread flavor – they are perfect for a little something special during the holidays (or really anytime).

Oh, yum. These taste just like gingerbread. What a wonderful way to kick off the fall season! Since I don’t have any maple syrup, I added a tiny bit of splenda to the batter, and they were perfect right off the pan–a little spicy, not too sweet, absolutely delicious. Thank you for this recipe!!
