One of my aunts would make us german pancakes every time we came to visit. Outside of seeing family it was always the highlight of the visit! I haven’t had these in *years*, and I woke up this morning craving them.
These are exactly how I remember them – delicious! I simply cut the recipe down by 1/3 since it was only myself and my 20 month old home this morning. We served it with a light drizzle of syrup and a sprinkling of powdered sugar.
So yummy!

This is a great and simple recipe. My 4yo helped me make the batter. I made it for 4 people and used a square pan that fit the inside of our convection/toaster oven. It turned out perfect and was delicious!

This has become a new favorite recipe of ours. It’s just my husband and I. So, we halve the recipe and make it in an 8-inch round cake pan. So good!

This is a staple quick meal for us. I’ve also served it at brunch for company to great reviews. We love it with lemon juice and lots of powdered sugar- it tastes like lemon pie! It’s also wonderful with warm maple syrup. I find that you can cut the butter back almost by half. . . but why?? (Less butter = less puffiness though, so slim it down at your own risk).

I first used this recipie in the early 80’s and lost it. Thank you for submitting this I have been looking for it. I used to serve itwith applesauce and I used a 2.5 quart oven dish.
