Description

These pancakes are splendid when plain or with pecans, blueberries or our personal favorite, chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 1-¼ cup Flour
  • 3 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Or Canola Oil
  • 1 whole Egg

Preparation

Mix the dry and wet ingredients in separate bowls.

Add the dry to the wet, mix well.

If you like your pancakes thinner, add more milk until the batter is as thin as you like it.

Cook on hot griddle until brown, adding chocolate chips or whatever desired. Enjoy!

Wonderful, husband who doesn’t really like pancakes ate several. They were light, fluffy and perfect. Also very inexpensive. No more box mix for us.

Just made these for my husband. I normally take the easy way out and use Bisquick, but after making these I am wondering why I’ve never made pancakes from scratch before! It was so easy and tasted delicious. They turned out very thick and fluffy. I used a 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake and came out with 8. I also added a splash of vanilla because PW recently stated that if you don’t put vanilla in your pancakes, you are missing out! She was right, it was yummy.

I made this into chocolate pancakes by using 1/4 cup of sugar instead of of 1 Tablespoon, and by adding 5 Tablespoons of coca powder. For some I put in chocolate chips too. They were pretty good.

I made these for my boyfriend last weekend (added chocolate chips since that’s his favorite…) and they were awesome. Going to try this recipe tonight and use it for waffles!

Definitely better than a mix! I prefer buttermilk in mine, but these are a close second.

These were great and soo easy – I managed to only use one bowl and I loved that there weren’t tons of steps!

Update: I’ve made these several times as written, but today we tried them with 1/2 c white whole wheat flour for some of the regular, and 3 T ground flaxseed for one of the T’s of oil. They were still light and fluffy!

These were great! And the first pancakes I’ve ever made that haven’t turned out like hockey pucks! So easy! They are great as is but I added a little vanilla to the second batch because the hubs and I LOVE vanilla!

We make these pancakes (with the small addition of a little vanilla extract) every Sunday morning. They are a staple for my family now. Thanks!
