This quick and easy oatmeal recipe will reward you with a slightly-sweet, filling start to your day!
In a medium saucepan on high heat, bring the water, honey, cinnamon, and dried chopped fruit to a boil. I like to use dried dates—other good options are Craisins, raisins, dried apricots, or dried cherries.
When the liquid is boiling, add the oats and stir. Return the mixture to a boil and cook for about 1 minute (if you’re using quick oats, cook for 5 minutes if you’re using the old-fashioned variety), stirring occasionally, until the oatmeal is thickened to your liking.
Serve with chopped walnuts and a drizzle of honey. Perfect for a cold winter’s morning!

Yum! Made this for Sunday morning breakfast, using Craisins for the dried fruit.
