Description

A new breakfast idea: eggs baked in a ham cup with a touch of cream on toast.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices Deli Ham
  • 4 whole Eggs
  • 4 Tablespoons Cream
  • 1 pinch Salt And Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Seasoning, Such As Mrs Dash Table Blend
  • 4 slices Bread
  • 4 slices Cheddar Cheese

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a cupcake pan.

Place a piece of ham into the cupcake pan; it will become like a paper cupcake holder for the egg. Crack an egg into each of the ham holders. Cover with 1 tablespoon of heavy whipping cream. Season with salt, pepper and other seasoning.

Bake in a 350ºF oven for 18-20 minutes.

Top a slice of toast with sharp cheddar cheese. Serve egg immediately on the cheddar-topped toast.

Really good! Used sour cream instead of regular cream as that was what was on hand and used smoked paprika as seasoning. Nice that you can just pop it in the oven and leave it til done. I think there is a lot of room to play with this recipe, i.e. add green onion, use different deli meats, use different seasonings, etc.
