Why venture out when there is a simple trick that can have your family eating Easy Almost Homemade Doughnuts with only three simple ingredients including canned biscuit dough.
Separate biscuits and cut out the center using a small biscuit cutter or battle cap.
Heat oil in a Dutch oven or electric skillet over medium-high heat until temperature reaches 350ºF. Working in batches, gently drop doughnuts and doughnut holes into the heated oil. Fry for about 60-–90 seconds before gently flipping and frying for an additional 60 seconds or until doughnuts are golden brown. Remove doughnuts from oil and gently toss in the sugar.
Serve warm.
