Why buy granola bars when you can make them—and without all the preservatives and additives? These cinnamon raisin granola bars are chewy, sweet and a great (healthy) treat.
Coat a 7×11-inch baking dish with butter and line with parchment paper. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Spread oats, almonds, and seeds on baking sheet in an even layer and toast for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Watch carefully so they don’t burn. When toasted, place mixture into a large bowl and combine with wheat germ and raisins. Set aside.
Reduce oven temperature to 300 F.
In a small saucepan, cook butter, honey, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat.
Coat oatmeal mixture with sugar mixture then pour evenly into baking dish, and lightly press down. Bake for 20-30 minutes, until golden brown.
Cool to room temperature before cutting into squares. Store in an airtight container.
