Description

This is a yummy throw-together recipe that a friend of mine created. I was hesitant to make it, but it turned out to be an excellent addition to the cookbook.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (16 Oz. Package) Egg Noodles
  • 2 whole Medium Onions, Thinly Sliced
  • Olive Oil, For Cooking
  • 2 jars (12 Oz. Jar) Any Flavor Gravy
  • 1 package (8 Oz. Package) Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 1 pound Meatballs (if Frozen, Thaw First)

Preparation

Boil egg noodles.

After slicing onions, heat some olive oil in a deep skillet and carmelize the onions. Remove onions from skillet.

Add gravy to the skillet, bring to a boil. Add cream cheese, stirring until thoroughly combined. Add meatballs and return onions to the mixture. Cook, stirring occasionally, until meatballs are done.

Serve over egg noodles, with French bread or biscuits if you desire.

You can also use any other kind of pasta, or rice or potatoes to serve this over.

Easy and delish! This is a great recipe for when you’re craving comfort food. I used wheat egg noodles because they were on sale and they worked for this recipe even though the wheat noodles have a slightly different taste than the regular ones. Thanks dansgirl!
