This is what happens when dark chocolate brownies and chocolate chip cookies have babies. Not to mention that some chopped Oreos and Mounds candy bars get thrown into the mix! Chocolate bliss, folks!
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, shortening, and sugars. Mix in the eggs.
Mix in soda, vanilla, and salt.
In a medium bowl, whisk your flour and cocoa together. Add to creamed mixture.
Mix in Oreos, Mounds candy bars, and lastly, the chocolate chips.
Chill dough for 30 minutes, then roll into 2 inch balls. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake at 350F for 12 minutes.
***A few notes… For dark chocolate lovers (me!me!) the semisweet chocolate chips make for a super awesome dark chocolate cookie experience. However, milk chocolate might be a teensy bit more kid-friendly, if you want to take that route. Also, the original recipe says you should get about 3 dozen cookies, but I got more like 56! Without a doubt, I tend to keep my cookies on the small side, though, so make ‘em as big or small as you like! You may have to adjust baking time if you make them larger.
