A Chinese-food-inspired dish featuring bits of steak, green peppers, and tomatoes over rice. This is warm, filling comfort food at it’s best!
Cut steak into bite-sized pieces. In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, melt butter and add bite-sized pieces of steak. Cook until fully cooked/browned. Add salt, pepper, water, bouillon cube, green peppers and onion. Cook on high until hot, then simmer for 30 minutes.
Add tomato wedges, stir and simmer an additional 5 minutes.
Combine cornstarch, soy sauce and 1/4 cup water. Add to pan, stir and simmer another 5 minutes or until sauce thickens.
Serve over hot rice. Add more soy sauce to taste.
