These were SUPER delicious and so easy to make. They are a perfect meal for a hot summer day! The only thing I’d note is that it makes a TON of tzaziki sauce with 8 oz of yogurt. I bought more roast beef than was specified in the recipe, so I was able to make 10 half-pitas and still had sauce left over! I’m not complaining though — I used the rest of the sauce as a dip for salt & pepper chips. Delicious! Thanks for this great recipe!

Yum! I loved this, and the roast beef was great (though not so traditional)! The tzatziki sauce was good too, maybe a little onion-y for me, but still great!

Admittedly, I was skeptical. Deli roast beef? In a gyro?!? But I gave it a shot, tripling the ingredients to feed my family of 5 and we gobbled it up! While it didn’t have the total authentic gyro taste, we didn’t care because it was still delicious! I added a bit of Cavender’s Greek seasoning to the spice mix as well. And will you hate me if I admit that I cheated and bought the tzakiki sauce at Trader Joe’s instead of following the recipe for it? This will definitely be added to our family’s list of faves. Thank you, thank you!

Oh, Yes! This looks amazing. I love Gyros, but in my small town it is very hard to find lamb, so I just wait until summer time and buy my yearly Gyro at the fair. I will deffinately try this very soon. Thanks for sharing.
