A juicy burger topped with Asian mushrooms! A touch of soy sauce, ginger and garlic makes this burger so flavorful. You can use any type of mushrooms. To brighten up the mushrooms, I’ve added balsamic vinegar. Its tang cuts through the richness of the the burger and mushrooms.
Serve with your favorite burger condiments, like ketchup, mustard and mayo.
1. Combine the ground beef, 2 Tbls soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame oil and black pepper in a bowl. Use your hands to thoroughly mix all of the ingredients. Divide and shape the mixture into 4 burger patties.
2. Prepare the grill for direct heat. Or you can use a large frying pan or grill pan. Cook the burger 3-5 minutes each side or until cooked through.
3. While the burger is cooking, cook the mushrooms. Heat a large saute pan over medium-high heat. Add the butter and swirl to coat.
Add the mushrooms to the pan and cook until the mushrooms have browned and softened, about 5 minutes. Add the 1 tsp soy sauce and balsamic vinegar, cook an additional 1 minute.
4. To serve, assemble each burger with lettuce, tomato, burger, mushrooms. You can serve your favorite condiments at the table.
