Description

This marinade is so tasty I heat it up and use it as a sauce. Don’t mind the picture….I had to have a bite of the the steak first!

Ingredients

  • ¾ cups Vegetable Oil
  • 6 Tablespoons Soya Sauce
  • 6 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 6 Tablespoons Green Onions, Sliced
  • 6 cloves Garlic, Finely Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Celery Salt

Preparation

Mix all ingredients together and pour over steak.

If you only have a short time to marinade the steak, poke the steak with a fork. I try to let the steak marinade for at least an hour but it can be left overnight in the fridge.

Remove steak from marinade just before barbequing and make sure to scrape all of the onions and garlic off the steak back into the marinade.

Heat the marinade with the oil over medium low heat while the steak is cooking. Separate the oil from the marinade before serving.

The amount of portions will depend on the size of your steak. Barbeque or broil the steak to your liking, I find medium rare to medium works the best.

Slice the steak on a diagonal against the grain for best results. Serve marinade/sauce in a separate bowl so everyone can take as much or as little as they want.
