Ingredients

  • FOR THE MEATBALLS:
  • 1 pound Lean Minced Beef
  • 1 ounce, weight Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon Chopped Parsley
  • 1  Egg
  • 2 ounces, weight Breadcrumbs
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Crushed Black Pepper
  • 1 pinch Red Chili Flakes
  • 1 pinch Nutmeg
  • 4 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 sprig Fresh Rosemary
  • FOR THE SAUCE:
  • 1 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • 3  Tomatoes, Chopped
  • FOR THE SPICY MAYO:
  • ⅓ cups Mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • ⅛ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoons Red Chili Flakes

Preparation

For the meatballs, in a bowl, add the ground beef, Parmesan, chopped parsley, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, salt, crushed black pepper, chili flakes and nutmeg. Mix all the ingredients well and start rolling the assembled ingredients into a walnut-sized balls. This should yield around 30 meatballs.

Heat a frying pan with extra virgin olive oil and rosemary. Once oil is warm, add meatballs. Cook the meatballs until they are browned on all sides.

Your meatballs are now ready to be served, either as a meal accompanied by sides or as an appetizer accompanied by the sauces below.

For the tomato sauce, warm olive oil and garlic in a small saucepan. Add chopped tomatoes. Cook until tomatoes have melted into a sauce.

For the spicy mayo sauce, mix the mayo in a small bowl with the minced garlic and the spices.
