These cookies have a distinct flavor and they just melt in your mouth! Be sure you use raw tahini paste (available in grocery stores that carry foreign foods) and not the ready made sauce! Real easy to make too!
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Place all ingredients in mixing bowl of a standing mixer and combine until a unified dough is formed.
Form dough into small balls ( the recipe makes 50 cookies). Place on a silicone or parchment lined baking sheet. Press each one with the palm of your hand to slightly flatten it and then place a blanched almond half on the top of each cookie.
Bake 15-20 minutes or until they just begin to turn golden.
Store in a closed container (if they last that long!)
