Homemade donuts made healthier with whole grains, natural sweeteners and no frying. This recipe requires a mini-donut maker.
In a large bowl mix all of the batter ingredients together until smooth. Bake in a mini-donut maker according to manufacturer’s instructions.
For the topping: Put coconut sugar in a high-powered blender or food processor and pulse on high until your coconut sugar becomes a fine powder. Pour it into a shallow bowl. Put the melted butter in another shallow bowl.
When your donuts are done, dip both sides in the melted butter and then dip in the coconut sugar to coat. Set on a sheet of parchment to cool. You could also add 1/2 teaspoon or so of cinnamon to the sugar. That would be amazing.
Notes: This recipe requires a mini donut maker. It makes roughly 20 mini donuts.
