One of my mother’s staples. Especially good with scalloped potatoes!
Cut steak into 10 fairly equal portions.
Heat oil in skillet, and brown each piece of steak on both sides. Put steaks in a 9×13 dish, set aside.
Combine remaining ingredients in a pan and let simmer for about 5 minutes. Pour sauce over the steaks in the dish.
Cover, and bake for 2 hours at 300 degrees, until meat is fork-tender.
