A quick, easy and tasty weeknight meal. I grew up eating these meatballs and now my hubby loves them too.
In a deep saucepan, quickly bring to a boil the onion soup mix, water and 1 1/2 cans of tomato sauce. Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix ground beef, garlic salt, pepper, parsley and remaining 1/2 can of tomato sauce. Shape into meatballs and place them in the simmering sauce. Simmer gently, uncovered, for 25 minutes, turning occasionally.
Serve over hot rice.

I used frozen meatballs but used the sauce part of this recipe. We liked it. I thought I might add some honey or brown sugar to sweeten it next time but my husband said he liked it just as it was.
