A easy twist on a German tradition.
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Slice rolls to make boats, set aside.
Brown ground beef and diced onion, drain. Add drained kraut and stir well to combine. Add shredded cheese, seasonings and remove from heat. Stir to combine melted cheese with meat and seasonings.
Divide meat mixture into 8 portions and fill buns. Wrap in aluminum foil. Bake 10 minutes or until heated through.
These can be made ahead and frozen.
