A family friendly spaghetti noodle bake that reminds me of my childhood.
Brown meat with onion and garlic and season with salt and pepper. Add spaghetti sauce and sugar and simmer about 10 minutes.
In a separate bowl, mix softened cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream and Parmesan cheese.
Cook noodles, drain and add to cheese mixture. Stir in green onions and green pepper if using. Add additional pepper to noodle mixture if desired.
Place noodles in greased 9×13 dish. Top with meat sauce. Top with cheddar cheese. Bake at 350ºF for 20–30 minutes.
