An intense, rich mushroom flavor makes this a must for all mushroom lovers.
You can use whatever mushrooms you like. Use all buttons, or an assortment of wild mushrooms. The options are limitless!
1. Roughly chop the mushrooms in medium pieces.
2. Heat oil in a pot and saute mushrooms to a deep golden brown, the darker the better (but not burned).
3. Add water and boil until reduced by half.
4. Strain out mushrooms and save for something else.
5. Return broth to pot and reduce to 1/2 cup. It should be thick and syrup-y looking.
