This recipe is amazing!! I had never made my own pudding before, and this recipe is very fast and easy. I recommend sifting the cocoa powder into the dry ingredients.

When my oldest asked the other day “What is pudding?” in response to seeing the boxed mixes in the store I knew I had to find a good from scratch recipe to share the wonder of pudding with him. I chose this one and was not disappointed! The only changes I made were to sub bittersweet (85%) for the unsweetened and then after tasting it as it started to thicken I added another 2 TBSP of sugar because while the dark taste was just about perfect for me I knew that my littles would prefer something just a tad sweeter. This is definitely a keeper and I’m daydreaming of the flavor variations I can do with this…. (raspberry! orange! mint! …)

Just made this & seriously can’t understand why people go out & buy Jello Instant Pudding. This took less than 10 min to throw together, dirtied the same number of dishes, and left me with an awesome dessert whose ingredients I can name without a pronunciation key. Yum!!

So delicious&easy!! I was even eating the pudding warm out of the pan as I was filling my Mason jars and it was soooo good&chocolate-y!! I love good, rich chocolate so I used Valrona unsweetened cocoa and dark chocolate bar(not 99%,it was 68 I think) and still turned out deep, dark chocolate goodness! Will be spooning copius amounts of whipped cream on top when I serve tonight!

I made this pudding yesterday and my family loved it.
It is easy to prepare and is rich and has wonderful
depth of flavor. I used regular real vanilla flavoring
