The authentic Dutch snackbar hamburger can be slighty tricky to copy. This recipe will tell you how to do it.
The hamburgers should be pre-cooked. Using a pan will give you the best results. Don’t use butter or olive oil. Just put the hamburgers in the pan and turn your biggest fire on. Start with low, put it on high later. Make sure the hamburgers warm up as evenly as possible.
Of course, turning them around will only cost you so much time. You will be spending the rest of it preparing the sandwiches. Take the buns and slice them open. Grill (at least) the inside with either a grill oven, a toaster or empty room in the pan. After that, apply the mayonnaise to the bottom bun. Apply the ketchup and curry (if you’re going to use only one of these, double the amount) to the top bun.
When the meat is done, do not put it on the bread. Instead, use a different plate and put half a slice of cheese on each hamburger. Microwave on high until the cheese is melted. Then assemble your sandwich and ejoy the authentic Dutch snackbar taste!
Note: if you’re inclined, you can put some vegetables on the top bun.
