A soft and chewy sugar cookie with just a hint of cinnamon. Makes the perfect fall treat!
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and cream of tartar and set aside.
Using an electric mixer, cream together butter, sugar and cinnamon until blended. Mix in egg and vanilla extract. Slowly add in flour mixture and mix until combined.
Make tablespoon-sized balls of dough and place on a nonstick cookie sheet. Bake for 9-11 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
Yields 4 dozen.
