When you have kids (or if you are just trying to practice self-control), everything is better mini. I love to make healthy cookies for my little girls and came up with this recipe that is a healthier version of a chocolate chip cookie. These are a perfect healthy snack for kids made with the goodness of whole wheat flour and oats.
Preheat oven to 350ºF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a medium-sized bowl, cream together the margarine, brown sugar and applesauce. Add the oats, flour, baking soda and sea salt. Mix until combined. Finally add the chocolate chips. Roll the cookies into 1/2 teaspoon-sized balls and drop onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake 6-8 minutes, until golden brown.
